KVK filing fails or accountant misses the deadline
Since mandatory SBR filing, annual accounts go via certified software. Last-minute errors cost fines.
Try this first
- 1Agree with the accountant who files and by which deadline. Statutory for a BV: at most 12 months after the financial year end (8 days after AGM adoption, with a maximum-12-months hard limit).
- 2Test the SBR export from your package to accountant software as early as October
- 3Verify the KVK confirmation arrives, not just 'sent'
- 4Keep past filings in the archive for future financing requests
When to bring us in
On chronic lateness, talk with the accountant about capacity rather than switching mid-cycle.
