About Vectel

A Dutch IT firm built around automation, not the hour clock.

Vectel runs IT for Dutch SMBs and delivers custom software, automation, and architecture work for clients in the Netherlands and abroad. Based in Veenendaal on the A12/A30 corridor, with clients across the Netherlands.

Why Vectel exists

Most IT firms bill by the hour and survive on the same manual work they could automate away. Vectel runs the opposite way: our internal operations are automated as a discipline, which is what makes a flat-rate retainer for Managed IT actually work. The saved hours go into the problems that need a human, not the recurring tasks a script could have handled.

How we work

Every Vectel engagement follows a defined sequence, whether it's a Managed IT retainer, a development project, or an automation assignment. That sequence is documented in writing before any work starts, in the form of a quote and project plan.

Intake and orientation. Every engagement starts with a non-binding call. We map the current situation, the objectives, and the constraints. From that we assess whether the work falls within our expertise and give an initial price indication. When both sides agree, a formal quote follows: scope, timeline, investment, and applicable terms.

Analysis and inventory. Before execution we do a structured inventory of existing systems, processes, stakeholders, and any compliance requirements. For Managed IT this produces an audit report; for development projects, a technical architecture document; for automation, a process map with baseline measurement points. The output is a shared understanding of what's in place, what's needed, and what risks to flag early.

Execution and oversight. We work in defined phases with a fixed delivery cadence. For Managed IT this means a phased operational takeover based on audit findings; for projects, traceable milestones with formal acceptance points. We report proactively on progress, blockers, and scope impact. Progress meetings run on the agreed cadence, typically weekly or biweekly.

Acceptance and handover. Each delivery closes with a formal acceptance review against the criteria in the quote. For project work, we hand over a runbook with operational instructions and, where relevant, a knowledge-transfer session for the client's internal team. For Managed IT, the relationship moves after the setup phase into an ongoing service rhythm.

Ongoing collaboration. For long-term engagements we monitor the agreed service levels continuously, provide a monthly operational report, and run a quarterly strategic review. Changes are agreed in consultation. Every agreement is cancellable on reasonable notice per the applicable terms; clients always retain access to their own data, documentation, and runbooks.
