We want automatic eco-printing without enabling it each time

Eco mode combines lower toner use (roughly 25% less), duplex by default, and N-up. For an average SMB it saves thousands per year with no visible quality loss on internal docs.

Try this first

  1. 1Enable toner-save / eco-print at the MFP level via web admin. That's the baseline saving.
  2. 2Make duplex (two-sided) the driver default. Via GPO or Intune for Windows, via printer profile for macOS.
  3. 3For internal docs: expose '2-up' (two pages per sheet) as an option in the print dialog. Not forced default, users must choose.
  4. 4Test that contract templates and invoices still look acceptable in eco mode. External docs you often want on normal.
  5. 5Communicate once: 'eco mode is on, no visible difference on internal docs, for client letters one click switches to normal'.

When to bring us in

We roll this out in half a day including contract/invoice template testing. Ask us along if driver choice (V3 or V4) is unclear, it depends on your Windows version.
