Print job stuck in queue, nothing happens

A stuck queue blocks all subsequent prints. Cleaning takes two minutes.

Try this first

  1. 1Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers > click your printer > "Open queue". Remove the oldest stuck document.
  2. 2Not working? Restart the Print Spooler service: right-click Start > "Run" > "services.msc" > "Print Spooler" > right-click > "Restart".
  3. 3Then immediately try again. Sometimes you also need to close and reopen Office.
  4. 4If the printer is offline: power it on, wait twenty seconds before retrying. It needs time to boot.

When to bring us in

Queue jams every morning? There is a deeper issue; often a driver incompatibility or a network printer with a full log. An hour of diagnosis usually solves it.
