Tax office asks for a POS export, how to deliver?
The Dutch tax office can ask for an audit file (XAF) or a flat export per day. Cloud POS usually has this in admin. Retention is 7 years, you must be able to deliver within reasonable time.
Try this first
- 1Ask your POS vendor for XAF or CSV exports per quarter.
- 2Keep exports together with Z reports and bank statements.
- 3Once a year, test pulling a random past day's data.
- 4On an audit request, deliver via your accountant, not directly.
When to bring us in
If your POS cannot export properly, have your accountant request an extension and plan a POS upgrade.
