Have VPN connect automatically at startup

Forgetting to connect before opening mail and being surprised you have no access. Auto-connect fixes that.

Try this first

  1. 1Open your VPN client and look for "start with Windows" or "auto-connect on launch".
  2. 2Enable it and quit the client fully. Test at the next reboot.
  3. 3Want VPN to connect outside the office automatically too? Enable "connect on untrusted network" if available.
  4. 4Combine with remembering MFA for 8 or 12 hours if your policy allows.

When to bring us in

Option missing or locked? We can roll out "always-on VPN" via policy on all company laptops.
