People cannot hear me or only faintly in meetings
Almost always a different mic is active than you think. Built-in laptop mic vs headset mic vs webcam mic; there are three of them.
Try this first
- 1In Teams or Zoom open the audio dropdown and check which mic is actually selected.
- 2Speak out loud and watch the meter move. No movement = wrong mic.
- 3Manually switch to the correct mic and speak again.
- 4On Windows click the speaker icon bottom-right and check the input there too.
