Test mic and camera before a call

Nothing worse than discovering mid-meeting that your mic is on a headset that is not even on. A quick pre-check prevents that.

Try this first

  1. 1Open Teams or Zoom and go to the audio and video settings.
  2. 2Speak out loud. See the mic bar move? Good.
  3. 3Open or turn on your camera and check the preview appears.
  4. 4Test the speaker with the test-tone button.
  5. 5Do this 5 minutes before the day's first call, not 30 seconds.
