Test mic and camera before a call
Nothing worse than discovering mid-meeting that your mic is on a headset that is not even on. A quick pre-check prevents that.
Try this first
- 1Open Teams or Zoom and go to the audio and video settings.
- 2Speak out loud. See the mic bar move? Good.
- 3Open or turn on your camera and check the preview appears.
- 4Test the speaker with the test-tone button.
- 5Do this 5 minutes before the day's first call, not 30 seconds.
