VPN killswitch blocks home printer or NAS
A killswitch forces all traffic through VPN, including traffic to your own network. That is why your home printer suddenly disappears.
Try this first
- 1Disconnect VPN briefly to confirm the printer works without it.
- 2In the VPN client look for "local network access" or "allow LAN" and enable it.
- 3Reconnect VPN and test again. The printer should reappear.
- 4If that fails, print with VPN off and keep work tasks for when VPN is on.
When to bring us in
No "allow LAN" option visible? Then it is locked by your employer's policy. We can change it.
