VPN client starts slowly, hangs on "connecting..."
A minute waiting for a green tick feels endless. Usually the client is searching for a server that is not responding.
Try this first
- 1Fully exit the VPN client via the system tray (right-click > quit), not just the window.
- 2Restart your laptop once a day at the start. Many Windows VPN clients glitch after sleep.
- 3Check if multiple servers/profiles are selected. Try picking one explicitly.
- 4Update the VPN client if an update is available.
