Filing the annual accounts via the bookkeeping package, can I do it myself or must the accountant?
For micro and small BVs, SBR filing works directly from Exact, Twinfield, Yuki, Snelstart or AFAS. Medium and large almost always goes through an accountant with audit or review opinion.
Try this first
- 1Determine your legal form and size class (micro, small, medium, large) based on balance total, revenue and headcount.
- 2For micro or small BV without audit obligation: use your package's SBR module and file via KVK Online Deponeren yourself.
- 3Prepare the accounts with balance sheet, P&L and notes per scheme (RJ guidelines or tax basis).
- 4Have someone other than the bookkeeper review, a clean dataset gets accepted faster.
- 5File before the statutory deadline, for most BVs that is 8 days after the AGM, no later than 12 months after year-end.
When to bring us in
If you doubt size class or accounting basis, we can review with your accountant whether self-filing is possible.
