Background blur slows my laptop in meetings

Nice blur or virtual backgrounds are GPU work. On a light laptop that is too much.

Try this first

  1. 1Turn off blur or virtual background in meeting settings.
  2. 2Close heavy apps during the call (browser tabs, Spotify, OneDrive sync).
  3. 3On slow Wi-Fi use camera only, no blur.
  4. 4Pick a physical neutral background if you still want to look tidy on screen.
