Background blur slows my laptop in meetings
Nice blur or virtual backgrounds are GPU work. On a light laptop that is too much.
Try this first
- 1Turn off blur or virtual background in meeting settings.
- 2Close heavy apps during the call (browser tabs, Spotify, OneDrive sync).
- 3On slow Wi-Fi use camera only, no blur.
- 4Pick a physical neutral background if you still want to look tidy on screen.
