Try this first

  1. 1Turn on device management (Microsoft Intune or Jamf for Mac, or the Google equivalent). Ten unmanaged laptops become ten different configurations.
  2. 2Build a roles-and-rights matrix. Who has access to what. Up to this point "everyone has everything" was fine; from now on it is a risk.
  3. 3Centralise SaaS purchasing. One or two people can buy tools, and everything goes through one accounting category. Otherwise a year on you have twelve SaaS subscriptions nobody tracks.
  4. 4Assign an internal IT point of contact. Not necessarily a dedicated role; the most-tech-leaning office manager works, but officially. Otherwise everything keeps landing on the founder.
  5. 5Pick an external MSP or support partner for the things outside in-house knowledge (firewall, backup, security incident response). A good contract is cheaper than firefighting at an hourly rate.
