Auto-feeder pulls skewed or grabs two pages at once
Mechanical maintenance. Rubber rollers are worn or dirty, or the paper is curled.
Try this first
- 1Take all paper out of the feeder. Open the scanner top and look at the rubber wheels; are they smooth or dusty?
- 2Wipe rollers with a slightly damp cloth (water, not alcohol on rubber). Let dry before reusing.
- 3Fan the paper before loading. Static-stuck paper is the main cause of double-feed.
- 4Still bad? Rollers are worn and need replacement; usually a €30-€80 part kit, often DIY with a YouTube video.
When to bring us in
Contract MFPs get this done by the vendor during routine service. On your own kit we can help decide repair-or-replace.
