Finding a phone via 'Find My Device'
iOS has Find My iPhone, Android has Find My Device. Both only work if turned on beforehand.
Try this first
- 1iPhone: go to Find My on another Apple device or icloud.com/find, sign in with the same Apple ID, pick the device.
- 2Android: in a browser go to android.com/find and sign in with the Google account on the phone.
- 3Play a sound to locate it nearby. Works even on silent.
- 4Lock remotely with a message and a callback number if it is out of sight.
- 5Erase remotely only as a last resort; after that you cannot track it anymore.
When to bring us in
