Screen broken, I still need the data off it
As long as the phone powers on and you know your PIN, an external mouse or cloud sync usually solves it.
Try this first
- 1Plug in a USB-C or Lightning to USB adapter with an external mouse so you can use the phone without touch.
- 2On iOS, enabling VoiceOver or Switch Control via Siri also helps navigate menus.
- 3Photos and files have usually already synced to iCloud or Google Photos; sign in on another device and they will be there.
- 4Work documents in OneDrive or SharePoint are safe; sign in on your laptop and they are there.
- 5Only send the phone for repair after confirming the data is already elsewhere.
