My outgoing calls show the wrong number

Caller ID is set on the PBX or in Teams, not on your device. It is a configuration issue, not a hardware fault.

Try this first

  1. 1Test by calling a colleague or your own personal mobile. Which number does the recipient see?
  2. 2In Teams Phone or the PBX, outbound caller ID is set per user, often per group.
  3. 3On shared lines (reception, sales): a group ID may be active instead of your personal one.
  4. 4On transferred calls: the outgoing number may show as the transferring party; that is expected behaviour.

When to bring us in

If you want a different outgoing number (e.g. a generic 088 line instead of your direct), let us know; we change it in the PBX.
