My outgoing calls show the wrong number
Caller ID is set on the PBX or in Teams, not on your device. It is a configuration issue, not a hardware fault.
Try this first
- 1Test by calling a colleague or your own personal mobile. Which number does the recipient see?
- 2In Teams Phone or the PBX, outbound caller ID is set per user, often per group.
- 3On shared lines (reception, sales): a group ID may be active instead of your personal one.
- 4On transferred calls: the outgoing number may show as the transferring party; that is expected behaviour.
When to bring us in
If you want a different outgoing number (e.g. a generic 088 line instead of your direct), let us know; we change it in the PBX.
