Moving a SIM card to another device
With a physical SIM it is power off, swap, power on. Do not forget the PIN.
Try this first
- 1Power off the old phone before removing the SIM; otherwise the carrier may keep the SIM flagged as 'in use'.
- 2Use the included SIM ejector. A paperclip works but bends the tray.
- 3Insert the SIM into the new device, power on, enter the PIN (saved on the old phone or in your carrier contract).
- 4Wait 1-2 minutes for network registration. Send yourself a test message to confirm SMS and calling work.
When to bring us in
No network signal after 10 minutes or a 'no SIM' error? The SIM may not be compatible with the new device; call your carrier.
