Setting up Do Not Disturb hours on my phone
Phone and Teams each have their own DND. Configure them together to avoid surprises.
Try this first
- 1On the phone: Settings > Focus (Do Not Disturb) > set a schedule (e.g. 19:00-08:00, called Focus on iOS 15+). Allow exceptions for starred contacts or repeat calls.
- 2In Teams: profile picture > Set status > 'Do not disturb' OR rely on Outlook working hours so Teams flips status automatically.
- 3For MFA prompts: add Authenticator to the exception list; otherwise you miss an MFA request in the evening.
- 4Some workplaces want alarms or key contacts to always come through. Mark them as 'starred contact'.
When to bring us in
Want a PBX-wide quiet-hours rule (all calls to voicemail outside hours)? The admin sets that; it is not a phone setting.
