Setting up Do Not Disturb hours on my phone

Phone and Teams each have their own DND. Configure them together to avoid surprises.

Try this first

  1. 1On the phone: Settings > Focus (Do Not Disturb) > set a schedule (e.g. 19:00-08:00, called Focus on iOS 15+). Allow exceptions for starred contacts or repeat calls.
  2. 2In Teams: profile picture > Set status > 'Do not disturb' OR rely on Outlook working hours so Teams flips status automatically.
  3. 3For MFA prompts: add Authenticator to the exception list; otherwise you miss an MFA request in the evening.
  4. 4Some workplaces want alarms or key contacts to always come through. Mark them as 'starred contact'.

When to bring us in

Want a PBX-wide quiet-hours rule (all calls to voicemail outside hours)? The admin sets that; it is not a phone setting.
