Work calendar syncs differently on iPhone vs Android, events do not match.
Apple Calendar reads Exchange with limits (no full attachments, different recurrence logic, calendar colours not always coming through). Outlook calendar in the Outlook app on both platforms is more consistent. On Android, Google Calendar pulls in M365 calendars, with its own quirks.
Try this first
- 1Standardise: either Outlook app for calendar on both (recommended for M365), or native Apple Calendar + native Google Calendar (accept feature drift).
- 2Duplicate events: check if multiple accounts pull the same calendar (Apple Calendar AND Outlook app on iOS), disable one.
- 3Recurrence issues: create events in the calendar where most attendees live, not via a third-party scheduler.
- 4Test: dummy recurring meeting, see how iOS and Android render the same event.
