5G rollout in NL, what does it mean for SMB right now?
5G is rolled out across the three networks, but coverage and speed vary by location. For most SMB use (Teams, Outlook, browsers) you notice little vs 4G. Where it matters: 5G fixed wireless as office internet backup, and 5G-only zones in cities where 4G is congested. Do not worry about device obsolescence, 4G keeps working for years.
Try this first
- 1Check coverage maps of KPN, Odido, Vodafone at the office and key customers.
- 2New phones are 5G capable by default, no price premium.
- 3Plan: 5G access is usually in business bundles, double-check it is not extra.
- 45G FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) as backup WAN: serious option when fibre is not feasible, pricing similar to broadband.
