Power or internet drops, phones do nothing and customers keep calling

Classic copper kept ringing without power. VoIP does not. Plan in advance what happens to inbound calls when the office goes offline.

Try this first

  1. 1Set a time-condition or trunk failover in the PBX that diverts to mobile on no-registration
  2. 2Give key staff the mobile app tied to the company number as a fallback
  3. 3Put a UPS on the switch and the router, not just the server
  4. 4Test failover once a quarter by pulling the WAN cable

When to bring us in

For 24/7 reachability (care, security), a second internet line over different infra (4G/5G or a second ISP) is not a luxury.
