Lots of spam calls on the main number, can I block them?
Real spam often comes from CLI-spoofed numbers, known call-centre lists or international ranges. A combination of CLI blocking, anonymous-call screening and a captcha IVR works best.
Try this first
- 1Activate Bel-Me-Niet register and provider spam lists.
- 2Send anonymous inbound calls into an IVR with 'press 1 to continue' (call centres do not).
- 3Block international ranges where you have no customers.
- 4Analyse call logs for recurring patterns and add them to the PBX blacklist.
When to bring us in
Spam comes from spoofed NL numbers: blocking is hard, sharpen the IVR strategy, not the blacklist.
