Migrate Skype for Business to Teams Phone.

Microsoft already pulled support for Skype for Business for most segments. The migration path to Teams Phone depends on On-Prem vs Online and whether you wanted Direct Routing or Calling Plan.

Try this first

  1. 1Inventory current numbers, users and active enterprise-voice licences.
  2. 2Pick a Teams Phone model (Calling Plan, Operator Connect or Direct Routing) based on country and SIP trunks.
  3. 3Migrate users and numbers in batches with test calls per department.
  4. 4Rebuild auto-attendants and queues, do not import 1:1, the UI is different.

When to bring us in

On-Prem Skype with heavy customisation: have a migration partner do an impact analysis, do not push it through a weekend yourself.
