Turn on voicemail-to-text (transcription) on a work phone.
Voicemail transcription turns spoken messages into text so you read in a quiet meeting instead of listening. On iPhone it is 'Visual Voicemail Transcription' and works on most NL carriers. For Teams Phone users it runs via Microsoft and is multilingual (NL, EN, DE).
Try this first
- 1iPhone: Settings > Phone > Live Voicemail on (quality varies by language).
- 2Teams Phone: on by default, transcripts appear in the voicemail tab of the Teams app.
- 3Personal Android (no Teams Phone): depends on vendor and carrier, Google Voice does this well in EN, less in NL.
- 4Privacy: transcription runs via Apple or Microsoft cloud, in most M365 tenants this is GDPR-compliant via DPA, double-check if you are strict.
