Set up Microsoft Outlook mobile properly for M365 on a new phone.
Outlook app from the store, not the native Mail app, because native loses M365 features (shared mailboxes, Focused Inbox, Safe Links). With M365 Business, Modern Authentication is default, first sign-in triggers MFA, then mail, calendar, contacts arrive. Work app policy limits copy/paste between work and personal.
Try this first
- 1Install Microsoft Outlook (free), open it, sign in with your work email (no password on the sign-in screen, it routes to your IDP).
- 2Handle MFA prompt via Authenticator, your tenant decides which methods are allowed.
- 3Settings > Notifications: pick Focused Inbox notifications separately, otherwise your notification feed explodes.
- 4Add a second work mailbox if you want a shared mailbox or your info@ address in there.
