Dual SIM on one iPhone: work and personal at once, can it be clean?
Yes, physical SIM + eSIM (or two eSIMs on recent iPhones) works fine. You pick the outgoing line per call, and you can set data separately. Work mail/Authenticator hang on a specific line for MFA SMS, so set the defaults explicitly.
Try this first
- 1iPhone: Settings > Cellular, two labels: 'Work' and 'Personal'.
- 2Default voice line: pick which one calls by default, tag contacts per line.
- 3Default data line: pick the line with the bigger bundle, otherwise you eat the personal bundle.
- 4iMessage/FaceTime: tie only to personal if work runs via Teams, less confusion.
When to bring us in
We define your default policy (which line default, which for data, MFA on which number) and push it via MDM config profiles.
