The Teams meeting recording is nowhere to be found
Teams now stores recordings in OneDrive (1:1 or scheduled meetings) or SharePoint (channel meetings), no longer in Stream.
Try this first
- 1Open the meeting chat. The recording link posts there as a message once processing is done (a few minutes after the meeting ends).
- 2No link? Open OneDrive > 'Recordings' folder (your own OneDrive if you started the recording).
- 3Was it a channel meeting? Open the channel in Teams > Files tab > 'Recordings' folder.
- 4After a long meeting, allow up to an hour. Processing takes longer for recordings over an hour.
When to bring us in
If the recording is gone after a day and the meeting was definitely recorded, escalate before retention purges it.

- OneDrive has stopped syncingThe cloud icon is grey or has a warning. Locally changed files are not showing up for colleagues.
