OneNote is not syncing my notebook

Often a notebook still points to an old SharePoint path, or a section was not closed cleanly on another PC.

Try this first

  1. 1OneNote > right-click the notebook > Sync > Sync This Notebook Now. Wait 30 seconds.
  2. 2File > Info > review status per notebook. 'Up to date' is good; 'Sync error' lets you click for detail.
  3. 3Still no luck? Close the notebook (File > Info > Close) and reopen it from OneDrive or SharePoint via the live URL.
  4. 4Sections refusing to sync: create a new section, drag the pages over manually, and delete the orphan.

When to bring us in
