Old Skype Room System still in place and must move to Microsoft Teams Rooms
Skype for Business is end of life and Skype Room Systems are either migratable or must be replaced. Path depends on the hardware model.
Try this first
- 1Identify the exact SRS model, some SRS v2 units upgrade to Teams Rooms, older SRS v1 do not.
- 2Check the OEM, Logitech, Poly, Crestron, Lenovo, for upgrade path or replacement offer.
- 3For non-upgradable units, plan replacement, not only the unit but the controller and possibly the display link.
- 4For licences, move from a Skype licence to a Microsoft Teams Rooms licence, Pro or Basic.
- 5Migrate room by room rather than all at once, learn from the first room before doing the rest.
- 6Document the account used by each SRS and have the new MTR account inherit those rights.
