PSTN or ISDN line still works, KPN is sunsetting, what now?

KPN has reached end-of-life on analogue PSTN and ISDN for business. If you still have a real copper line, you get a cancellation or migration letter and must move to all-IP (VoIP).

Try this first

  1. 1Inventory all still-active copper lines (alarm, lift, fax, ATM, main phone).
  2. 2Plan a migration path per line: VoIP, GSM router, IP version of alarm dialler, lift emergency line with dual SIM.
  3. 3Do not migrate critical lines last-minute, there is certification involved.
  4. 4Port existing numbers to a VoIP provider before the cutover date.

When to bring us in

Lift or alarm line must meet safety standards: that is not a telecom question, that is an installer question with certification.
