Suspicion that the same voucher or gift card is being used multiple times.

Paper vouchers are the weakest: easy to copy, and staff often only check whether the code looks valid. The till must mark a voucher as used immediately on redemption, otherwise the same code can still work on another terminal or location.

Try this first

  1. 1Verify voucher codes are unique and one-shot, not reused for new campaigns.
  2. 2Configure the POS to mark a voucher as redeemed instantly, not at end-of-day.
  3. 3Pull a report on voucher use per till and per employee, review monthly for outliers.
  4. 4Multi-site: keep the voucher database central, not local per till.
  5. 5Never print or email full codes in marketing material that can later be copied.

When to bring us in

If you see real patterns (same employee, same time window), treat this as internal fraud. Call us or a trusted advisor, do not confront directly, build a log first.
