Personal POS PIN per employee, how strict?

Each staff member their own PIN, not a shared one. Otherwise you cannot tell who booked or edited. Restrict rights: a new hire does not need access to corrections or end-of-day.

Try this first

  1. 1Create a POS user with personal PIN for every employee.
  2. 2Set role levels: cashier, supervisor, manager.
  3. 3Reset the PIN the day they leave, not next week.
  4. 4Audit monthly who did corrections or refunds.

When to bring us in

Suspect misuse: lock the account, pull the log, then have the conversation. Not the other way around.
