POS login still uses a fixed password while the roster lives in another app.
Staff share PIN codes, or nobody knows who was on the till when an error happened. Linking POS and roster (L1nda, Eitje, Shiftbase) fixes two things: less login fuss and clear traceability of till actions.
Try this first
- 1Check which roster app you use and whether it has a POS link for your till.
- 2Give every employee their own login or badge code, no shared codes.
- 3Enable per-employee reporting on refunds and discounts, not per terminal.
- 4Test that an employee can only log in during their scheduled shift.
- 5Explain to the team why: not control, just protection when something goes wrong.
When to bring us in
If your roster and POS have no direct link, consider an SSO layer or a manual daily sync. Call us if you doubt whether it is worth the effort.
