Black Friday: POS gets slow or crashes.
Cloud POS usually scales fine, but your network and local devices not always. Preflight: bandwidth, terminal firmware current, stock bulk-loaded, spare till on standby. Ask your vendor to monitor during the event.
Try this first
- 1Test the full flow with dummy volume one week before.
- 2Pre-load stock changes, do not edit during the event.
- 3Reserve a second tablet and terminal, ready in a drawer.
- 4Notify your POS vendor about the expected peak.
When to bring us in
During the rush, call vendor support immediately. Do not wait for peaks to pass, you lose revenue.
