Roaming profile has grown to gigabytes and login is slow
AppData\Local and cache folders do not belong in a roaming profile. A single browser or Teams cache can make the profile unusable.
Try this first
- 1Inspect profile size via WMIC or Get-ChildItem and sort by largest folder
- 2Exclude AppData\Local, INetCache and Teams cache via GPO or FSLogix
- 3Migrate to FSLogix profile containers if roaming keeps causing pain
- 4Clean up stale profiles nobody uses with delprof2 or GPO
When to bring us in
For recurring corruption: move fully to FSLogix with Cloud Cache.
