One specific application is slow for everyone
If an app is slow for one person: local. For everyone at once: server side or vendor side.
Try this first
- 1Check the vendor's status page or social channel for an outage. SaaS usually flags it openly.
- 2Test from outside your office (your phone on 4G). Slow there too? Vendor side. Fast at home? Your network or firewall.
- 3Look at recent changes: an update, a firewall rule, a new security tool. The most recent change is usually the culprit.
- 4Call or email your vendor with concrete details: since when, who, what changed. Vague "it is slow" gets vague answers.
When to bring us in
If the vendor says "we are fine" but it is really slow on your end, the issue sits in between (DNS, MTU, firewall policy). We can look from your side of the wire.
