Old meeting recordings vanished on their own
Teams Recording has a retention policy in OneDrive or SharePoint. Default sometimes sits at 60 or 90 days.
Try this first
- 1Ask IT what the current retention policy is
- 2Check the OneDrive recycle bin for recent deletions
- 3For lasting recordings, copy them to a permanent library
- 4Work with IT to set longer retention for specific teams
When to bring us in
If recordings disappear before the retention window suggests.

- OneDrive has stopped syncingThe cloud icon is grey or has a warning. Locally changed files are not showing up for colleagues.
