Teams meeting link does not work

Browser opens and closes, or you cannot get in? Usually the Teams desktop is outdated or a browser extension is blocking.

Try this first

  1. 1Try the link in a private/incognito window. Works there? An extension or cookie is blocking.
  2. 2Open the Teams desktop app instead: in the email invite, three dots > "Open in Teams app".
  3. 3Update Teams: three dots next to your profile > "Check for updates". On classic? Install "new Teams".
  4. 4The host may have moved or replaced the meeting. Ask for a fresh link.

When to bring us in

If multiple colleagues cannot join the same meeting it is on Microsoft's or our side. Call us; we check service-health.
