Files cannot be deleted due to retention label
Retention labels from Purview can block deletion until a date. Sometimes a label is applied too broadly by mistake.
Try this first
- 1Click the file and see which label is attached
- 2Check the policy in Purview for the duration
- 3Ask the compliance officer if the label is appropriate
- 4Changes go through policy adjustment, not per item
When to bring us in
If the label is wrong and compliance does not respond.
