I cannot open a colleague's calendar even though they shared it

Sharing happens in two steps: the owner grants permission and you have to add the calendar to your view.

Try this first

  1. 1Ask the colleague to go to Outlook > Calendar > right-click their calendar > Properties > Permissions. Confirm your name is listed with at least 'Reviewer'.
  2. 2On your side: Calendar > Open Calendar > From Address Book > type the colleague's name.
  3. 3Still no luck? Have them use 'Share Calendar' (ribbon button) instead, which sends you an invitation you accept.
  4. 4Test on outlook.office.com first; the delegate flow is simpler there and rules out local cache.

When to bring us in

For exec or PA delegate setups, a mailbox delegate setting is usually involved; let us configure it.
