Appointments on my phone and in Outlook do not line up

Often one event lives in a local calendar instead of the Exchange calendar, or the Outlook app on the phone is logged into the wrong account.

Try this first

  1. 1Create a test event in Outlook on the PC and wait a minute. Does it land on the phone? Then sync is fine and the issue is the phone -> PC direction.
  2. 2On your phone: open the appointment and check which calendar it belongs to (Exchange, iCloud, Google). Only Exchange syncs with Outlook.
  3. 3iPhone > Settings > Calendar > Default Calendar > set to your work calendar. Otherwise 'new event' lands in iCloud.
  4. 4Outlook mobile app: remove and re-add the account. Outlook Mobile caches aggressively and sometimes drifts.

When to bring us in

If multiple colleagues see the same drift, a tenant policy or MDM rule may be involved; we are happy to take a look.
