Third-party app cannot sign in due to admin consent
Tenants by default block third-party apps without admin consent. Users see a grey screen with an approval request.
Try this first
- 1Ask IT to review the app and consent via the admin portal
- 2Inspect the requested permissions critically before approving
- 3Once approved it applies to all users in the tenant
- 4Document the approval for audit
When to bring us in
If the app requests Application permissions or broad scopes.

- OneDrive has stopped syncingThe cloud icon is grey or has a warning. Locally changed files are not showing up for colleagues.
