Phone lost and MFA app gone
Without a backup method, the helpdesk is the only path. Self-service password reset with MFA bypass only works if IT enabled it.
Try this first
- 1Try a possible second MFA method like SMS or hardware key
- 2Otherwise call IT helpdesk from a known number for identity check
- 3After reset, immediately set up at least two MFA methods
- 4Print or store the recovery code somewhere safe
When to bring us in
Right away if you lack a second method and have critical deadlines.

- OneDrive has stopped syncingThe cloud icon is grey or has a warning. Locally changed files are not showing up for colleagues.
