Microsoft 365 keeps asking me to sign in

A stale token or a clash between work and personal accounts is usually the cause. A soft reset is often enough.

Try this first

  1. 1Close all Office apps and any browser tabs on office.com or outlook.office.com.
  2. 2Open Windows Settings > Accounts > Access work or school. Is your work account listed twice or as 'connected to organisation'? Remove the extra entry.
  3. 3Restart the PC properly (a real restart, not 'Shut down' which on Windows is a sleep variant).
  4. 4Sign in to outlook.office.com first, before opening Office apps; the browser refreshes the token.
