What does MDM via Intune or an alternative cost
Intune is included free in M365 Business Premium. Standalone MDM is pricier, but needed without Premium or for non-Microsoft devices.

- 1Have M365 Business Premium? Intune is already included. No extra licence for Windows, Android, and iOS devices. Just implementation work.
- 2No Premium? Buy Intune separately as Microsoft Intune Plan 1, list price on microsoft.com. Or as part of EMS E3.
- 3Non-Microsoft alternatives: Jamf for Apple-only fleets, Kandji, Mosyle, Hexnode. Their list prices sit in the same order as standalone Intune, sometimes higher.
- 4Budget implementation time. Setting up an Intune tenant properly with device policies, app deployment, and security baselines is roughly 1 to 3 days for a specialist. Do not skip.
- 5Maintenance: pushing app updates, enrolling new hires, wiping leavers. For 10 to 30 devices this is about an hour a month. Above that it scales linearly.
