Mail only arrives after five or ten minutes
Often greylisting at the receiver. The first attempt is refused, your server retries, and only then it goes through. Normal, not broken.
Try this first
- 1Ask the recipient if they use a greylist or similar filter. A one-time allow can stop future delays.
- 2Inspect message headers and look at the time between 'Received' lines. A gap of several minutes confirms greylisting.
- 3Sending will work on its own; do not keep resending the same message.
- 4If it really has to land now, just call; faster than fighting it technically.
