Government client wants a UBL file next to the PDF, how do I generate it?
UBL is a standardised XML format for invoices. Almost every package exports UBL alongside PDF, provided you have the right customer settings.
Try this first
- 1Open the customer card and enable 'deliver UBL', in Exact and Twinfield it is a checkbox, in Yuki a delivery method.
- 2Add the OIN or Chamber-of-Commerce number of the government client as legal identification.
- 3Generate the invoice and download the UBL XML, validate in a UBL validator (free online tools exist).
- 4Send PDF and UBL to the client in the same mail, or via Peppol if the client is Peppol-connected.
- 5Archive the UBL alongside the PDF, it is the authentic document for audit.
When to bring us in
