Testing changes on the live site, this needs to change
Staging is a 1:1 copy where you can play safely. Included with any serious WP host.
Try this first
- 1Enable staging via your host panel or build locally with Local or Studio
- 2Make changes there, test plugin updates and theme tweaks
- 3Push changes to production via a merge tool, don't just overwrite the DB
- 4Never blindly push the staging DB over production if live orders sit between
When to bring us in
Your host has no staging, switch hosts or set up a subdomain yourself.
