Staging ready, how to push to production without losing orders
Pushing the DB is dangerous: live orders, comments and form submissions sit there.
Try this first
- 1Push code (themes, plugins) via git or file sync, not via DB import
- 2Migrate only content changes via WP Migrate selective sync
- 3Avoid full DB overwrite unless the site isn't live yet
- 4Plan a maintenance window and put the site in maintenance mode briefly
When to bring us in
WooCommerce or memberships running, bring in a dev for a staged merge.
